Project Summary

DBN Upper Bound is a Polymath project related to the theory of the Riemann zeta function, based at this Polymath wiki (http://michaelnielsen.org/polymath1/index.php?title=De_Bruijn-Newman_constant). For the background, theory and discussion on results, please head to the proposal and subsequent threads (https://terrytao.wordpress.com/tag/polymath15/) on Prof. Tao's blog. The computational part of the research is being hosted at this github project (https://github.com/km-git-acc/dbn_upper_bound).

Research on the Project provided by Cruncher Pete:

My research led me to Professor Terence Tao of Flinders University who is in charge and or running this project.  He is an Australian Citizen. He was at UCLA in the states when he received his credentials of Professor at the age of 24. He is recognized as the Maestro of Mathematics and one of the world's leading mathematician. I wonder if this could be the reason that the announcement of the Project was made by Dr  David Anderson of BOINC fame as he announced it on the BOINC Forum as a News item.  I do not recall him ever announcing a New Project in the forum before.
