I thought about doing this project because the badge is cool but now that I see what's involved, I think I'll give it a miss.

Yea I like the idea of it, a global network of Radiation detectors keeping an eye on the real levels and not just what the government wants to tell us. I suppose it's not as vital for us aussies but you never know what's round the corner do you? Plus Clouds of radiation can travel hundreds of miles so there's that plus there's Lucas heights and almost every hospital has some amount nuclear material plus i'm sure there are other uses that we aren't made aware of too. So for $30 - $40 I reckon is not a bad price for keeping "the bastards honest" LOL
I've had mine for.. I think for 3 or 4 years and it's still going strong 24/7.
Yea you don't do this one for credit that's for sure.
Especially when you only receive around 148 credits "per day". :faint: LOL
It's quite a good way to get a cheap geiger counter if you want one. :wink

No you get credit for returning work not how much it records. This is a sample of data from today where the radioactive reading in Merimbula NSW is between 0.09 - 0.13 uSv/h (microSieverts)

Isn't this project run by the same guy who does Universe@Home? Dataman said he's got COVID so no new work will be sent out for U@H. If he runs this project to like I suspect, that could be why it's down.
Edit - I was correct. Krzysztof Piszczek runs this project and U@H. He's in hospital with COVID.
