saw this announcement from SiDock
"Society. The BOINC Pentathlon team selected SiDock@home as this year's Marathon project. The Marathon discipline is announced on 30 April and runs for two weeks from 05 through 18 May.
Technicals. Before the BOINC Pentathlon, we plan to move to a new physical server. The URL will stay the same. But we stop generating tasks and the project will be unavailable for 1-2 days. Also, we are implementing checkpoints as soon as possible."
Does that look like they let slip the secret or they are in the running to be selected?

Yes they have let the cat out of the bag, but they have apologised.
Also of note, they deadline for SIDOCK is 3 days, so the announcement is due on 30th April, and the start date is 5th May, so hardcore bunkers can only start downloading from 3rd May anyways.
Anyways, I still look forward to this event, motivates me to crunch some Projects that I rarely crunch.

There will be others Jave...which is just as well because I won't be crunching Sidoc. I guess the upside is I'll be dedicated to the other projects which overlap each other.

I've just seen the structure of the pentathlon
The BOINC Pentathlon consists of 5 disciplines and each winner gets 100 points.
Marathon (14 days)
Sprint (3 days)
City Run (5 days)
Cross Country (5 days)
Javelin Throw (5 x 1 day, only each team's third-best daily score counts)
I see this is an open discussion forum but is our strategy just "do whatever you want"?.
I'm crunching MIP now.
I forgot all about this, I will start now. :thumbsup:
