I want to take an image or at least back up my web server so that if the disk crashes I can get a new one up and running quickly.   I will never remember all the steps I went through to load the software for the web cam etc.

Anyone had success at this? I was looking at clonezilla which is free and I used it as part of the DRBL, without knowng it, which I had running for a while.  I haven't tried to clone a server though just used it as part of DRBL.

Next weekend I hope to give something a try.  I hope I haven't mozzed (never tried to spell that before ??) myself !!  Bashhead

Not quite the answer you were looking for but adding a mirror disc and using RAID would be a quick and reliable option. Backups would still be a really good idea.

Clonezilla sounds pretty good.  I've used g4u (http://www.feyrer.de/g4u/) a couple of times and it worked, but it took me a while.

I have never used raid in Linux for a mirror, good idea I might look into that.  I downloaded clonezilla and will also pursue that as well in my spare time.

Thanks
