I like them both as I was a surfer in my younger days living one road off the beach at Bronte in Sydney.  Was a member of the surf club and went threw the nippers program to be a life guard.  Surfed before school during school as sport and when I got home.  The best years of my life.  :love

Haha, yeh like 'em both too. Am more familiar with the Surfaris' version with the crazy "witch's laugh" that used to be played on the radio but doesn't matter whose version, great song is great song. Even like Sina's version:

Whenever I hear surf music like this always think of Bombora by the Atlantics. Never even knew they were Australian back then, thought they were an American band.

Gee that Harry Manx Tijuana is a corker, great performance.

Lived at 16 Pacific St, Bronte for a little while. Was in the Bondi Amateur Swimming Club and raced in the pool. Surfed later, had a huge balsa board first, then a fat GK (Graham King) followed by a Shane "White Kite". Also used to borrow a friend's Keyo pintail.

Kashi I lived on pacific street as well in a block of flats I think it was #20   :holy-moly   I was there between 1961 and 1965, a long time ago.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=blghTWXqwys    Little Pattie used to sing at the Bronte surf club as lead singer of a band I can't remember.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Zp59YSK3aI    One of the Deltones used to live across the street from me and they performed at the Bronte surf club as well and some of them were life savers at the club.

Good stuff Dataman,  that last songs a good'en,  but I really liked that nickelback song most of all.   +1  Keep em' coming..

Yep there's been some nice songs added lately which is good thing since it looks like Cruncher Pete won't be adding any more.   For those that didn't notice CP has gone back to his old team TSBT(the scottish boinc team) and back to his old user name Mcshane.

I hope he find's whatever he's looking for this time around :(

Fare thee well..by Marcus Mumford, Punch Brothers.

I noticed the other day when he changed his name and left.  I have deleted his name from the board, he just is not a member of the Team.

Yes block of flats at number 16 too, it was next to the steps. They built a really long block of units next door on the other side of the steps while I was there in 1970 and 1971.

My brother at the time lived in an old stables at Bondi behind 102 Brighton Boulevarde. We worked out later that it may have been Nosey Bob's stables as it was directly across from where his house had been, but not sure.

Looked it up, at the age of 14, Little Pattie performed weekly at the Bronte Surf Club as lead singer of The Statesmen.

Must fire up the Chromebook later and listen to these more recently listed songs. My cousin had Hot Rod Lincoln on a 45.

Knew Pete had put his kilt on and moved back to Scotland, he usually doesn't stay long.

I never could figure Pete out. When I first joined the team he was leaving because he seemed to be ticked off about something. Have seen him drift in and out of the board. He always seems a mite "needy". Hope he does well where ever he lands if he ever does.
Well, I am not leaving 'til Dingo bars the door.   I consider all of you my mates and good friends.  :thanks1:

I never realised how awesome the drumming was in that song, seeing it on video really makes me appreciate it. Both versions are great.
