Does anyone else tune in to the Boinc Podcast. I'm not sure who the Aussie guy is on the Podcast. They have some good upto date information or projects.
https://boinc.berkeley.edu/dev/forum_thread.php?id=13358

Also they have a BOINC Network Discord Server too not that much happens on it.
I joined so will check it from time to time.

BOINC@AUSTRALIA is to my knowkege made up of individual crunchers and not Universities and companies.  The comparison made is not valid.

Based on that I will not be tuning in.

Greetings

My sentiments exactly, we all crunch the projects we find interesting to us, with our own personal goals, but also crunching for our beloved team.

We are also free to choose what we crunch and when we crunch it, so I find it a bit rude for them to single us out.

I don't know the politics of other teams though.

Regards

Yeah its a big difference a generous community of individuals crunching away on our own power and projects compared to a University giving free resources to a single project. Apples and Oranges. If its anything we beat those guys on the 100 other projects anyway haha  :rocks

Haha, I think he just cherry picked the figures. He probably looked at all the teams and found us to be the best/worst comparison. As you guys have said, a university with free electricity vs us is completely different.

I wonder if they would be having that conversation if it were't for COVID -19. Probably not.
How many hosts have they got?

I see the Uni of Aberdeen is currently crunching up a STORM @ Rosetta.... 30K/week at the moment!  I could beat that on my own I reckon.
This audio does insprie me to crunch Rosetta...but I've got WCG going on and my rank is worse there.

I guess we could start our own little challenge to crunch Rosetta for a week and see what we produce.   I think I might send an email through the rosetta forum to members and start crunching Rosetta.  Or are we just playing into his hands ???

We as a Team are crunching over 300K credits per day without trying.  https://www.boincstats.com/stats/14/team/detail/12/lastDays
