What a shame. It's such an iconic structure, even without taking its important work into consideration. I hope they can get the funding to repair, and perhaps upgrade, it

Most disappointing to see it be completely removed. I just wish SETI@home still had wu's for us to crunch. I fail to see how SETI has enough data when they barely scratched the surface considering how vast our universe is. Will be a sad day when they complete the destruction.
