Congratulations Dingo!

Haven't paid much attention to this project in a while. Now I am going to turn off all the sieve projects on the CPU and only run LLR on the CPU so I have a bit more chance of finding primes. So far I have only found 2 primes and been the double checker on 2. And haven't found one for absolutely ages (Last one was in 2007 I think!).

Found an absolute squillion factors though.

Yes took me a long time to figure out that the LLR's are the only ones that find primes.  The Sieve's only find numbers where a prime is possible.   Wish thay had some ATI GPU applications for LLR...  Good luck on your search

I found another Prime, I got this email from Primegrid.

Congratulations! Our records indicate that a computer registered by you has found a unique prime number. This computer is running BOINC, is attached to the PrimeGrid project, and is assigned to the Proth Prime Search. What makes this prime unique is that it's large enough to enter the Top 5000 List in Chris Caldwell's The Largest Known Primes Database.

Since you have auto-reporting selected, the following prime was submitted on your behalf:

Added 104899 : 9045*2^764411+1 (230115 digits)

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me and we will surely resolve any problem.

Once again, congratulations on your find.  Thank you for participating in PrimeGrid.

Well done Dingo. Plus 1.

Nice to see that someone else is participating in the Tour de Primes.  I've been running since the start and have managed to clock up 2 so far.

Six more days to go

18.023.310 credits and I have not found one prime yet lol.
Tried searching at that link you showed Dingo at message 2 in 2009, and get:

You can only find Primes in the llr work units. The sieve is just the preliminary search before the llr.
