Can't join BOINC Aus in Poem

Just opened an account in POEM but, either I'm having a bad day or I'm having a bad day.   Followed all the links to nominate BOINC Aus as my team but for the life of me I cannot find the "Join this team" link.  Help please!!!!!!!!!!!

  just tried to quit and rejoin to get you the link and got the same prob!!!!

PM dingo and get him to fix it - he's the founder and POEM's join link is absent

I had this problem with another project and had to join using Internet Explorer because the "Join this team" button didn't show in Firefox.

Just tried it by attaching to Poem@home. Attached to project, logged in and tried to join. No join button in Firefox but Internet Explorer shows "Not accepting new members". So yep looks like Dingo has to adjust the Team Founder project preferences to allow new members.

Edit: Just checked and many teams are currently displaying "Not accepting new members". So it is a Poem problem and needs to be fixed by the project.

Well done, LawryB. I noticed vaio who is a Forum moderator there and a team leader is aware of the problem, so hopefully he will be able to get it fixed soon.

Just got an email passed on (from Yoda, who isn't crunching anymore) about someone trying to join us in SETI.. had the same problem...

might have to go there and look, but not keen on detaching from the team just to test it out..

I noticed the team has 222 members with no credit and many of them are selling Tramadol or Viagra!

I have removed all the ones that looked like they were selling something from the Team

I saw this kind of thing once before on some project when a spam contributor became user of the day and their advertisement appeared on the main webpage of the project. Perhaps the projects could introduce a minimum credit or RAC before a contributor can create a profile. This would help prevent much of this "marketing".
