WCG finally back up after a long Xmas down time.  I had a lot of work units to return and they have all uploaded and returned.

My old out of date work units have been returned but nothing has come back so I'm giving WCG a break for a while.

The project seems to be up and running better than ever.  I will be going here after the Primegrid Challenge.  They also didn't take away the "Current Streak" number of days because they were down.  They used to reset to zero whenever they didn't receive a work unit from a user even if the system was down.  I put a ticket in on it so they must have reconsidered.  I am up to 82 days now and my longest before was 31 Days.

Sometimes I check out the WUProp active projects chart to see what's worth crunching or if a project runs out of tasks. One thing I noticed is a new project on WCG. Currently in testing where it's mapping arthritis markers. It's exciting that there is finally a new project

As reported in our previous research updates, we are investigating the top-scoring genes with associations to various cancers as part of the Mapping Cancer Markers (MCM) project. This article focuses on Ecdysoneless Cell Cycle Regulator (ECD), a gene that is involved in regulating growth and repair.

World Community Grid: IMMINENT DOWNTIME: Full Migration of WCG to Nibi cloud as Graham cloud is decomissioned August 31st, 2025
We expect between 3:00-5:00 p.m. on August 31st, 2025 that all WCG endpoints will be down as we switch over to Nibi cloud. In preparation, we will systematically shut down prod leading up to cutover.

I just read the announcement about this. I find it strange?
Some quick searching of Nibi Cloud and I came up with Nibi Services. If this is the same company, Nibi Services is based in Ecuador!

I can't access the WCG home page any more due to the migration but I'm keen to hear more about this. (Assuming I have the company right)
