I like them both as I was a surfer in my younger days living one road off the beach at Bronte in Sydney. Was a member of the surf club and went threw the nippers program to be a life guard. Surfed before school during school as sport and when I got home. The best years of my life. :love

Yes block of flats at number 16 too, it was next to the steps. They built a really long block of units next door on the other side of the steps while I was there in 1970 and 1971.
My brother at the time lived in an old stables at Bondi behind 102 Brighton Boulevarde. We worked out later that it may have been Nosey Bob's stables as it was directly across from where his house had been, but not sure.
Looked it up, at the age of 14, Little Pattie performed weekly at the Bronte Surf Club as lead singer of The Statesmen.
Must fire up the Chromebook later and listen to these more recently listed songs. My cousin had Hot Rod Lincoln on a 45.
Knew Pete had put his kilt on and moved back to Scotland, he usually doesn't stay long.
I never could figure Pete out. When I first joined the team he was leaving because he seemed to be ticked off about something. Have seen him drift in and out of the board. He always seems a mite "needy". Hope he does well where ever he lands if he ever does.

No sound on my crunching computers until last year, so haven't listened to much YouTube except a little bit on a tablet recently. Whilst in YouTube frenzy mode came across something strange I'd never heard/seen before. Revolutionary Army of the Infant Jesus. No offence meant to anyone who's religious or not religious. They've recorded some unusual music/songs, some accompanied by videos that make you think "What the heck did I just watch?". Anyhow, found some of their songs strangely attractive, kind of sweet yet a little spooky at the same time. The music/song part not as spooky as this Tarkovsky film clip though, how weird is that, haha?

Haha, I remember The Fugs, a mate's sister had an album called ESP Sampler that amongst much weird stuff had "Kill For Peace" on it. We were all impressed with the crazy lyrics at the time. Ned and Commander Crab were inspired by that album and used parts of it as one channel and recorded their own lyrics on the other for their homemade album Plastic Fish. Guess you'd call it sampling but a version using turntable, mike and cassette recorder from about 45 years ago. Must say that Commander Crab was an excellent lyricist, Mulloway and Blackfish being the standout memorable tracks.
Haha yeah, Kill for Peace is on youtube, running around NYC with a fake M16 probably wouldn't go down too well today though.

Re a previous post, saw Zappa a couple of times at the Hordern Pavillion.
In 1972, a bit disappointing because he was being an artistic prima donna when the audience weren't appreciative of his trumpeter's long solo.
But in 1975, yessiree Bob, with a different lineup he gave up "conducting" and played lots of guitar. Some of it was the most awesome powerful guitar I've ever heard. Mad Dog's coke and black aperitifs before the show didn't come in a glass and surely enhanced the power, but you know what, no enhancement was really necessary.

Kylie Ann Minogue was born 28 May 1968 in Melbourne, Australia. She is a fifth-generation Australian and has Irish ancestry; her mother, Carol Ann Jones, came from Maesteg, Wales.
She had minor role in the Australian television soap opera The Sullivans (1979) and in 1985, she was cast in one of the lead roles in The Henderson Kids. Kylie was later cast in the soap opera Neighbours in 1986 as Charlene Mitchell, a schoolgirl turned garage mechanic. Neighbours achieved popularity in the UK, and a story that created a romance between her character and the character played by Jason Donovan culminated in a wedding episode in 1987 that attracted an audience of 20 million British viewers.
Her first single, "The Locomotion", spent seven weeks at number one on the Australian singles charts and became the country's highest-selling single in the 1980s.
When Kylie flew to the UK for her first meeting with hit makers Stock, Aitken and Waterman, they forgot she was coming so hadn't prepared anything. As a result, they wrote "I Should Be So Lucky" in 40 minutes while she was waiting in reception. She then recorded it in around the same time. In 1988 the song reached number one in the United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, Finland, Switzerland, Israel and Hong Kong
Michael Hutchence wrote INXS hit "Suicide Blonde" about Kylie, who he was dating at the time. She had to dye her hair platinum blonde for The Delinquents and said to him, "I'm going suicide blonde today."
At the suggestion of Nick Cave, with whom she'd just duetted on "Where The Wild Roses Grow", Kylie recited the lyrics to "I Should Be So Lucky" as poetry for 1995's Poetry Jam at the Royal Albert Hall. She described it "a most cathartic moment."
Kylie has provided guest vocals for The Pet Shop Boys, Coldplay, Just Jack, Towa Tei (formerly of Deee-lite), Hurts, Taio Cruz and sister Dannii.

In 1965 Harry van den Berg (Vanda) was the lead guitarist for the Easybeats. He was married to the sister of Philip and Allan Higgins who were my mates. They lived three doors down the street in East Hills Sydney and used to see Harry all the time. He composed the music for Friday on My Mind their before the band went to England. In 1964 -65 we used to get free backstage tickets to all their gigs and really had a good time. I was 15 or 16 at the time and just left school and was working for The Singer Sowing Machine company as an apprentice Auditor. Malcolm and Angus Young of ACDC are the younger brothers of George Young the Rhythm Guitarist of The Easybeats. Vanda and Young produced the early albums of ACDC.
