NASA's Mars rover Curiosity has fired its laser for the first time on Mars, using the beam to study a fist-size rock called "Coronation."

Given Mysteron347's photograph of a native Martian (who looks very much like the mother-in-law on a good day) I guess we are now at war with Mars. Anyone else seen "War of the Worlds"? :jester:

I hope Mars is not a planet full of those and PO'd about our little rover. All though it sounds like Lawry's mother-in-law will sort em' out if they come earth's way :jester:
