A new BOINC project ...

http://37.233.101.169/bealf/ (http://37.233.101.169/bealf/)

BealF@Home project is part of the Master Thesis: 'Testing Beal conjecture using supercomputers and distributed computing platform BOINC'.
The predecessor of the project was Beal@Home, which tested the application. Credits with predecessor will not be transferred.
This project is already in its final version (produces scientific results) and should not cause major problems.
BealF@Home is based at Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin (Poland).

At the moment there is only a Linux application, but a Windows application is planned.

Yes only Linux 64 bit and the work units run from two days to seven days.   I have one task running and it is 1.500% complete @ 10 hours 33 minutes and an estimated    84 hours and one minute to run.

If you are the impatient type like I usually am this may not be the project for you.  The web site says "Checkpoints should also function properly (performed approximately every 30 minutes)."

The Team is created, so give it a go if you have the processes to spare for such a long time.  I don't know the credit rate as there is only one user that is on the stats and his credit is about 20 credits an hour. http://37.233.101.169/bealf/results.php?hostid=1 (http://37.233.101.169/bealf/results.php?hostid=1)

Just an update on this task that is running.

It is still going and is @ 91.3 % complete after 146 hours 49 minutes with an estimated 13 hours 45 minutes to go.

Obviously this will be the only task I run on this project till the times come down to less than 24 hours.  :faint:

I strongly Recommend that no one does work for this project.

The task finally finished after almost 148 hours but then could not be validated.  :faint: The waist of one core for a long time when it could have been doing other work that counts.
