MERRY CHRISTMAS to all my fellow team members!!
It's been a very up & down year which is nearing to a close. I'd like to thank all of you for your support during the year with my sister breast cancer fight and welcome Dingo back home to the land of Oz.
Thank you to EVERYONE who makes this such an enjoyable group to socialise and often problem solve with :thumbsup:

Merry Christmas and Happy New year and happy holidays to all. It has been an eventful year for me as well returning to Australia and selling up everything in Canada. I still have my fifth wheel for sale at a dealers in Canada if anyone is interested :BigGrin
The Team has been plodding along doing our own thing for most of the year and to the members that contribute to the AA's and Challenges a big well done from me and the Team. :bravo
The Team start is not known but we have settled on the 23 Jun 2004 as that is the oldest date I could find on BOINC and the Team. It has been a privileged to be a member and the founder of the Team for the last thirteen years and even tough I am getting old and cranky I hope to crunch on for many years.

Thank you for sharing your time with me throughout the year. This is a great team and we have achieved a lot this year.
I know we've improved on some of the poorer performing projects like Numberfields & NFS this year, plus some of you laid the foundation for a top 5 start with DHP. :worship :jester: Well done.
We've seen a whole BUNCH of new badges from people this year, including some Megaprimes!
I can only see the team gaining more cores in the years ahead to maintain our global ranking. The "core wars" going on has been great for BOINC consumers. (If only we weren't shafted by the RAM cartels)

Gave my mum one of the shirts and my brother a huge bag of macadamia nuts plus his favourite Mersey Valley cheese. Did a couple of Kiva loans too. And made a giant trifle.

Indeed, and clever too. She looked up the email in my last order and called them. However the sales person talked her out of 2 liquid cooled 1080 Ti's for an air cooled 2080 Ti.
The 2080 does a Collatz wu in 6 min 25 sec. Tried it at Asteroids but all comp errored in 2 sec. Not sure why as I have not had much time to play with it as we have been visiting her friends in a thinly veiled excuse to show off her carbon. :wink

Yep, envious with your present, but its your turn to be the lucky one this time lol.
Just had a quick look around and there is a couple of projects having issues, but others aren't.
@Asteroids, application hasn't been updated to work on these RTX cards.
@Einstein, workunits with a specific data file, error out, a couple of Einstein users have also logged this with NVIDIA.
@GPUGrid, application hasn't been updated to work on these RTX cards.
So maybe somewhere in the new year, they will have been updated, but at least you have Collatz, Seti and maybe Milkway.
Have fun and try not to get frostbite, whilst I pop into my pool with the kids lol.

Yes, it is that time of the year when Universities are ghost towns. This morning was the first time in a week that all of my selected projects had work. Makes the server room nice and toasty.
I am OK leaving the RTX at Collatz as it does 5+ million credits/day on a single GPU. :dance:
The pool sounds great. It was -3C here this morning and the pond has a layer of ice. While having breakfast we watched a flock of finches trying to break through the film of ice on the birdbath. Karen finally relented and poured warm water in it for them. They seemed appreciative.

The pool for me lasted less than 5 minutes, we have had a couple of really cool nights for this time of year and well the pool was pretty cold lol.
Nice of Karen to assist, I find it relaxing watching birds mingle in nature, then again am a bit of a David Attenborough fan lol

Hey Mark, did you see Sir David when he was out here? Last year I think it was (or perhaps this year?) I took my wife to see him here in Brisbane.
When he last came out to Aus, the birth of my son ruined my initial plans to see David. Then he cancelled the next trip because he needed a stent. Wow....when he walked out of stage the applause was overwhelming! :worship
I would have paid anything to see the man in the flesh. What a hero and shining beacon of humanity.
Michio Kaku was my second best show I went too. Amazing.
