Here in Newcastle NSW it's just hit 37 degC. Expecting a top in the low 40s. What's the weather like where you are?
Not good crunching weather, but work still needs to be done.
Good Winter crunching weather here. Overnight low of -1C with a high of 11.6C. Heavy clouds with showers off and on.
41c here so far in Sydney west. At least the thick smoke is blocking out the majority of the sunlight.
Still comparatively cool here and only 33 with a 22 km wind and smokey from the bushfires, going down to 14 tonight. Tomorrow back to only 22 and clear skies.
Well after a barrage of 40's and high 30's we are now having this wet stuff called rain lol.
Crazy weather here in Perth WA
The back into the high 30's with a predicted 39 for XMAS Day
@Dingo, where aboutss are you located? Sounds cool compared to Newcastle.
Also, do we have any crunchers in Tasmania? I've always wanted to live there due to the lower temps. Have been to Burnie once on a work trip.
After yesterdays 43c, today is a very nice 25c.
Tomorrow is another stinker with a top of 44c :cry
I live on the western edge of the burbs down here in Melbourne.
XMAS day is looking like being around 30c.
I lived in Ottawa Canada for about 13 years and my webcam (http://dingo-den.com/index.php?nav=cam1&subnav=cam1hi) is still Parliament Hill in Ottawa.
We are hot and they are freezing, -33C windchill.

A member named Magpie, is in Tasmania, but hasn't been around on the boards for awhile now though.

@jave808 I am down the south coast in Merimbula. NSW. Acool change came through tonight and it is now 16C.
Temps here in Brisbane are low to high 30's.
Mostly doing CPU crunching which is great compared to running multiple wu's for Milkyway or Einstein. SETI appears to be quite good on the energy/heat output for a little GPU crunching.
Air con is running most days now so I'm not looking forward to the power bill. I predict the next one will be at least $1000 even with solar :(
Might head to the beach again tomorrow. Bribie Island looks nice.
Love the reports of the heat ... but not the fires.
Winter is ramping up here. -3C last night (which motivated me in the early AM to fire up the wood stove) and a high of 10C. Thick clouds all day which made it so dark that our solar street lamps along the drive were on all day and fizzled out before dusk. Solar is good ... as long as you have sun. :wink

The temp reached 45c here today, a December record for this area since records started.

We had a cool Southerly wind here today @ just 25 I think and all next week (http://www.bom.gov.au/nsw/forecasts/merimbula.shtml)it is in the 20's. I think Merimbula is in just the right spot to take advantage of the Southerly winds from the Antarctic.
The sun struggled to make an appearance today and succeeded for about 3 hours this afternoon. Low of 3.2C and a "blazing" high of 16.5C. (Where's my sunscreen? :wink)
Karen and I wish each and every one of you a wondrous Holiday. Don't fall off those surf boards as you surf into the New Year down under.

We had about the same daytime temperature here today it was 16.9C but it was smokey from the bush fires and smells like fire. The closest fire to me, that is out of control, is about 190 Km away Not used to being this cool this time of year, but I am in the cool spot. Going to be in the 20's for next five days here (http://www.bom.gov.au/nsw/forecasts/merimbula.shtml) but I am off to Canberra on Christmas eve and it hotter there as it is inland and no sea breezes there. (http://www.bom.gov.au/act/forecasts/canberra.shtml)
Wow Dingo, going into the end of the week, its getting real hot, and being Canberra, it always feels hotter than the recorded temp.
Hope you have a nice Xmas :party1:
