Title: New BOINC version
Post by: NudgeyNR on May 02, 2020, 09:14:02 PM
Has anybody installed BOINC 7.16.5 64-bit for windows ??

Am still running 7.16.3 on my windows machines. The Kubuntu machines are running 7.16.3 aswell.

The RPI4 is running 7.14.2.

Also do people prefer BOINC by itself or with VirtualBox ??

Hmm, just had a look. I'm running 7.6.22. Perhaps I should update it.  :crazy

I usually install VirtualBox separately.

On my 5 WIN 10 boxes - 7.14.2

Will likely update this weekend.

Not to sure about VBOX, as I havent touched that for the last 4 months.

But I usually do a seperate install of VBOX though.

Cheers

I am also running 7.16.5 version of BOINC on my machines.

Don't like the new messages in the Event Log. It's filled with messages about delays in single digit seconds. 🤦‍♂️👎

I noticed that change in 7.16.4 and did not like it.  Not knowing exactly why or what a server has sent back to your client(s), makes it very hard to diagnose problems etc.
Makes me wonder why the change was made in the first place.
