Wondering if anybody can tell me what the errors mean on this wu

It says that it found a Unrecognized XML in parse_init_data_file: and a lot of fields. If this was a one of error then I would do nothing but if it is happening on a lot of tasks then abort all the tasks and then reset the project "Reset Project" on BOINC Manager Project / Commands.
This will delete all the files and download them again from Primegrid.
From Stderr output:
Detected GPU 0: Device Emulation (CPU)
Detected compute capability: 9999.9999
Detected emulator! We can't use that!
Looks to me like BOINC failed to detect your GPU and tried to use CPU emulation instead for a CUDA application task.
Don't know if this is still true now but in the past sometimes some GPUs were slow to be initialised after Linux booted. So if BOINC was configured to start at boot time it would try to detect the GPU before it was able to be detected. To see if this is true then you can restart BOINC and it should then detect your GPU.
If this is the reason and you want to continue to have BOINC start at bootup then you can add a delay to BOINC startup. I think you add BOINC_WAIT=5 somehow into /etc/defaults/boinc-client. You can increase that 5 second delay if needed.
This is just stuff I quickly gleaned from some help forums. It may not be current or correct as I know little about it myself as my Linux command line fu is very poor.
It could be an incompatible GPU driver issue too.
Enabling coproc_debug Event Log option if it is available in your version of BOINC can sometimes help diagnosing these kind of GPU detection problems.
Hope you get it sorted, I know it's frustrating when things don't work when all you want to do is crunch.
@Dingo All the wu's failed as soon as they started, did try resetting, didn't work and so i detached from the project. Haven't tried again.
@kashi BOINC is detecting the GPU with no problems according to the event logs. Other projects crunch fine on the same system, ie Asteroids and Milkyway.

Late to the party again, but which machine was throwing all the errors?
Regards
@tazzduke My 'Intel i5 3470 8GB ram Geforce GTX 750 Xubuntu 20.04.1 64bit'
I have since tried attaching to PG again and everything is running fine and am running it along side MLC. Still would be nice to know why the errors were happening in the first place, when absolutely NO changes were made to machine or OS since i first tried.

Hi NudgyNR
Okay, the only thing i could fine was maybe a low memory gpu.
Also the PPS gpu app can be run x2 but only on your 2080, there is not benefit on running x2 on the GFN subprojects.
You could try x2 on 2070s but again it could really bog down your machine.
The RTX 3090 and 3080 would have no problem though.
Cheers
@tazzduke Thanks, am looking to get back onto PG and get some more badges. Seeing as there are no more badges on collatz.
