Title: A new BOINC project - Dodo@Home
Post by: Daniel on November 18, 2024, 09:38:08 PM
QuoteWe're embarking on one heck of a journey, one with a thousand steps... our ultimate aim is to bring the Dodo back from extinction.
Using our unique software and your help, we will decode the genome AND many, many others along the way.
Join us and let's make history!
Together, we will make the saying 'as dead as a dodo' a thing of the past.

I can't shake the feeling that this is dodgy. I'll probably give it a go still

I saw this recently.  I think it's legit BUT it's only run by maybe two people.  VERY small team.

Jurassic Park here we come.
They dont have any work at the moment, updating and tweaking their app.

Posted in their notices

QuoteThanks again to everyone for your patience while our little team works away behind the scenes!

We've been able to generate a ton of new data to analyze.

However, we're going to hold off on posting more jobs for just a bit longer so we can focus on various app fixes and bug / error reports that have come in. We're doing our best to make sure everyone who wants to help, can (and hopefully without frustrations).

Happy Thanksgiving to those in the US... and a ton of thanks to everyone that has contributed so far.

More soon...

Hopefully they do get up and running and our team is added to the project.

I signed up, but there's no work available.

Also, BOINC@AUSTRALIA wasn't registered as a team on their website? Dingo do you need to do this?

Dingo is aware and is waiting for that feature. It's being run by a couple of people and they have a big list of jobs to complete for the website

You must complete a task to create a team

I did create the Team (Temporatily until you are ready to take it over.) Having said that, there is no hurry since the site is unreachable.  This was an offshoot of STP (?spelling) which is also down.
