Title: A Blast From MY Past
Post by: Mike Mitchell on December 25, 2010, 11:02:06 PM
Some years ago I volunteered as a camera operator for the Community TV production company Southern Studios, see photo link here (http://boinc.gorlaeus.net/view_profile.php?userid=63).

One of the jobs that earned some income to cover the studio's running costs was a television promo for three quite, polite sisters with a UK and Australian mix, in a band called The Alma Boobies.

I regretted not having a copy of the promo because it was very professional and very different in that the girls "interviewed" themselves.

Then there was the music, loud, heavy metal. They have quite few original arrangements but I couldn't find any

To my surprise, I remembered the bands name a Googled it. Found a few videos and thought I'd share.

Only thing that troubles me is, I thought there were four sisters.  ???

That's funny .. the first clip is entitled "skittles", and the second one, "race with the devil" - yet the second one's chorus goes "I gotta whole - bucket o' skittles ..." (couldn't hear the words "race with the devil" at all !)

cool, fun, easy music to play, especially when you've had a few beers etc... only problem is ALWAYS finding someone who can sing in tune ... and remember the words to whatever you're singing !

Their parents invested a small fortune into their kids. They moved the family to Australia to help. First to Perth I think, then latter to Melbourne.

They moved between Australia and the UK and would continue to do so last I heard.

It still surprises me just how quite and polite the girls were at the studio. They seemed a bit shy except while they played.
