Title: CreditNew
Post by: Dataman on August 31, 2019, 09:18:26 AM
Seen some radical changes in credit calculations lately? Seems more and more projects are implementing CreditNew (AKA: CreditScrew) courtesy of our friends (?) at BOINC Berkeley.

If you have time to read all this BS, you have too much free time!

Perhaps it will help level the credit playing field; or not. Time will tell.

:panic:

WOW! quite a read.   :pcwhack:

I don't think they can ever really get the credit system perfect or fair.

But some crunchers go where the best credits are.

Afterall it is our equipment and electricity costs, so i think reasonable/decent credits are more of an incentive to some people.

I also think that it is hard enough for alot of people to get by in life, let alone justifying the extra expense. Perhaps the very reason BOINC is not as popular as it should be?

Yeah mate, with ever increasing, sky high power prices, it's the biggest risk to BOINC in my opinion.
