Title: FREEHAL problem?
Post by: Dennis on June 24, 2010, 07:53:05 AM
Woke up this morning to find on one computer FREEHAL at 216% completed and on the other computer has gone over 100% completed.
The 216% completed one has just received the message "aborted by project" and on the message window "Message from server result xxxxxxxxxx
is no longer usable".

Is there a problem with Freehal and am I doing work for no credits?

Dennis.

There seems to be by your description problems, I will have to check mine and have alook.  I am running the NON CPU intensive versions so they are really free credits anyway because there is no other project / work like them so you haven't lost anything if you are running those kind.  I will post if I have any problems, just need to go drop the car off for a service first.

Just checked my PC's and the non cpu intensive ones I run are running OK so it must just be the CPU ones ?

All my Non CI work units are completing OK and then killing themselves because they can't write to the output file which is "absent".   Posted my problem on their forum and apart from others having the same problem I have seen nothing from the sysop yet.
One dude said the new exe file should have fixed the problem so I have downloaded another unit that is using newFreeHal version 139.   Will let you know.

Weird bit is the system tells me it does not have any non cpu intensive work units and then immediately downloads one?

Although it appeared that mine were going fine I now see in the message box that there is a problem.  I will set to "No New Work" again for a while.

I'm getting problems similar to the OP but I let it run anyway, they get credited.
