i used to play with Linux a few years ago and i'm
thinking of setting up a Debian Ubuntu box.  Can anyone
tell me how well MW runs on linux ? and any tips or
suggestions would be welcome.

When I eyeballed my numbers for milky way (same pc win vs linux) there wasn't much difference but linux was slightly faster. Einstein and universe were much faster on Linux than windows tho.
