Yea those times are not bad at all plus you now also get the larger credit payout. So the loss of output is not as bad as you may first think. Your card gave you a sign it was not happy with the extra stresses involved, so in the end it may not be worth pushing it any further.  But that's totally up to you. 

Just ask if you need anything else.

Well managed to figure out why I was not getting any workunits at COLLATZ.

As soon as I selected CPU work in my COLLATZ work preferences, I started getting workunits.

Very weird, as you don't have to have that selected on any other GPU projects.

I finally found settings thank work on my GPU.

verbose=1
kernels_per_reduction=48
threads=8
lut_size=17
sleep=1
cache_sieve=1
reduce_cpu=0
sieve_size=30

Wu's are completing in around 4:20mins :) Very happy with the results.

Has been a while since i posted any updates for my wu times.

Since i got my RTX 2080 i have left all settings stock and have been averaging 6.5mins.

I made changes today to the config file to >>

verbose=1
kernels_per_reduction=48
threads=7
lut_size=17
sieve_size=30
cache_sieve=1
sleep=0

Have seen a massive drop in times down to an average of 3-3.5mins!
GPU usage went from 65% to 95%. Temps hover around 60C with about 80% fan speed.

On the collatz forum, there is chat of being able to change lut_size to 18, but i don't won't to push the GPU any harder. I am happy with the current settings.
The last time i went to far with settings i lost my GTX 1080ti.
