Keyboard backlighting

When my the screen on my laptop goes into power saving mode on windows 10 the keyboard backlighting turns off.

On Kubuntu it does not. Is there a repository for Synaptics touchpad driver or a setting, that i have looked for, so this happens ?

Also while i am at it is there a repository for Intel HD 4600 linux drivers so i can enable opencl ?

The Mesa drivers are supposed to have this function available as per their website, but if they did Boinc would see compatible driver.

NudgeryNR -  I think that Kubuntu is just Ubuntu with a different GUI.  I found this web site to load Intel drivers and opencl on Ubuntu.

Finally got opencl to work on the Intel HD 4600 GPU.

I found i had to use Beignet - An open source implementation of the OpenCL specification for Intel GPU's.

Now BOINC see's the GPU and if i want can crunch on it.

On the topic of my problem with the keyboard backlighting, i am still unable to find a fix.
