This isn't PC or BOINC related but I found it intriguing.

I'm surprised that would give out enough power to weld. I guess new technology is getting better every day

Modern inverter welders are really something else.  Something like that wouldn't be much good for day long jobs, but for spot repairs it could be very handy.
