• Welcome to BOINC@AUSTRALIA FORUM.

News:

OK that was a fail.  Just spent four hours loading a fresh install of smf and still could not get the mail to run  That is the only problem so far with this install so I am leaving this one as the production install.

Sorry for the delay confusion, but I have had a gut full of Simple Machines Forum software.

Please let me know if you find anything other than mail not working with a PM..

How bad is the cost of living right now!!
I definitely think we are headed for a recession.

Not giving up on BOINC crunching yet but I'll have to take a good, hard look at crunching.

Surely another interest rate isn't coming. They would have to be nuts!

I'm staying out of the political side :)

My biggest expenses to date are Rent which is fixed each year, Groceries which have doubled in the last year and Holiday Accomodation.

I am a bit OCD when it comes to keping track of what I earn and what I spend and have records back to about 2015 of every cent.

The attached Pi Chart is my tax year to date expenses. No actual figures just highest to lowest.  These are all for me an individual not a family.

I'm expecting at least two more interest rate hikes. Technically we've been in a per capita recession since 2008 and I'm still shocked that China hasn't cut us off. Australia is pretty screwed in my mind but I'm pretty hopeful

The current war and fuel shortage is a bit of a worry.
So many service stations are running out of fuel.
The fuel shortage will have a dollar value knock on effect for quite some time, adding alot to the cost of living.

I love the new signatures Dave!

Yep, cost of living has definitely made me change things...

I'm more conscious of where and when I travel in my car. Trump's little war has really affected the cost of fuel, so less driving. I only go to where I need to go to. (Which is mainly to the shops and to doctors appointments.)

I wouldn't want to be a grey nomad at the moment

Trump is sending mixed messages.
"Over in weeks" meanwhile a 3rd aircraft carrier is headed over + the 82nd airborne.
"NATO is a paper Tiger" Does this guy really work for Vladimir Pootin?

Oil UP again. Tax excise cut will disappear real fast.

On another note though, happy Easter everyone   :greet

He is doing a show of force to scare Iran into better negotiations (negotiating from a position of strength). That's why he's sending in so many troops.

He blasted NATO allies saying the US didn't need support but he expected them to be there. The US has the strongest military force in the world and it shows.

He is now saying for allies to protect their own oil as the US doesn't use the oil from the middle East as they are a net exporter.

If we had of joined in the war Australia could have gotten better rates on tariffs and more oil. Instead he is saying the Us didn't get support from allies so now you have to protect your own water ways

Well that's a short version
