Here on the NSW Central Coast it got to 41 on Tuesday, 39 on Thursday and now today it's 42  :shock

Next week's cooler forecasts can't come soon enough in my book.

Yeah, Sydney is cooking too.  It's been a while since I felt this way.  It's like Darwin without the evening thunderstorm.  I spent a few hours this morning in the paddling pool under the pergola with the little one, and it needed ice blocks at the end of it!  Another 40 plus day tomorrow and then a cool breeze should be on the way  :faint:

I had that hot weather here all week but tonight it has cooled down  :dance2:.  Should get a good night sleep for a change.  It has really been raining here the last couple of days though and was very humid.

... to top off the heat, our split-system, is "kaput" until repaired...

the fan on the internal section is like a long barrel of small vanes.... with the 70 cm or so long "cylinder" divided into 10 or so sections for stability, but the vanes actually hold each section to the next (moulded plastic I think)...
anyway, about half of the vanes "exploded" out of one of the sections, making it as unbalanced as h*ll, so i tried to remove a few on the opposire side to ease the wobble.... and when I turned it back on, it basically lost almost all the rest in that section.

So now, no "big" aircon for a while - most service mobs are at least 2 - 3 weeks  before they can get here... luckily someone coming wednesday, but even thought I told him what part was needed and what model air-con it was, he wont order the part.. he wants the service guy look at it and tell him to order it...

:furious: so that will add another week at least until its fixed... Luckily I bought a portable one just last week..... but its really hot for our two litters of new-born pups....
