Microsoft front page opening instead of browser....

Just wondering if anyone might know why this is happening and how I can remedy it...

every time I do anything which will tr to open a browser to go to (an embedded) link (ie: click on project name in BOINC manager), "Frontpage" opens instead of browser.

Same happens if I click on a link in an email etc.

VERY annoying - any and all help greatly appreciated - thanks in advance .

Hi Veebee, Try this link for a correction to your problem http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-networking/cannot-access-links-in-e-mail-opens-error-message/826fb7a3-5228-4763-b13a-8dac15b315cc

Ditto from me but please let us know how you fix it.

EDIT:  ALSO using Associate a file type or protocol with a specific program.  You can check/change file types by extension.  EG look at a link that opens in Front Page, note the extension and then look at the default for that extension.
          Have fun.

Is that the same as using "Default Programs" in Vista? If it is just make sure Frontpage is not set to open anything.

Wprked a treat !
I just opened (from Start) "Default programs" , then "set your default programs", , then clicked on firefox , then clicked on "Set this program as default" and ALSO then clicked on the "choose defaults for this program".... the boxes were already checked in this option though so I didn't have to do anything.

went to an email with a link and it worked.

"Frontpage" wasn't even listed in the programs, so I dont know why it was doing that ...

THANK YOU Mick L ! +1
