Mixed ATI and Nvidia Cards

Anyone seen how this works under a newer version of Linux?  Im really tempted to try it.  Although i wouldnt use them (ATI) for graphics maybe i can slot one in for crunching purposes.

I know i can mix and match Nvidia cards but never tried mixing and matching different brands,

Edit:  Ok so far i cant convince BOINC i have a my 2600Pro plugged in but it can be used as a display.....  It is a very old crap ATI though lol
