major CPID split..

hi guys,

as the topic title suggests, my CPID at Boincstats has split... badly

it happened about a month or more ago, and as this has happened before, I wasnt particularly worried.. just set both machines to crunch a few works units of lots of different projects and wait for it to realign itself....

over a month later I am STILL waiting...

any ideas/ clues ?

It happened out of the blue... hadnt attached to any new project, hadnt changed a password or email address... nothing.. all was fine one day, then the next, Boincstats said I had about 110 Million instead of 320 Million..and I had an "extra profile" at BS.

I know it doesnt REALLY matter in the big picture.. but it is just annoying to have more than half of my work "missing"...

If the email addresses are the same, except for WCG, in the projects they should join into one if you crunch them.  If the email addresses are the same in the projects and they still do not join into one you can contact Boincstats just go to the Boincstats page and log in and send a personal message to User ID 1 Boincstats Willy and give him the details of which projects are not joining.

You can send me a personal message first and I can look and see what I have on the Team download.

Hi Veebee, it's great to see you posting again.

I've been noticing your your score go crazy -100,000,000 or more here & there.  Not sure how its even possible to have a minus score?
I've had the same thing happen but to a much lesser degree & mostly it works out in the end.  Once it happened & I went around to all my projects & found that one had 2 of the same PC and did a merge.   I think I remember reading a merge will not fix a split CPID so would not work for you I guess.

I've never been able to work out exactly how it works.  Like I have apparently 16 PC when I look in "Link to users host stats" & some of them have minus scores also. Why?  You have 50 PC's in "Link to users host stats"?.  Anyway like you I would not be happy to loose 1/3 of my score.
