I didnt realise there were FOUR prizes...I thought there was only "first place" getting a sensor, and knowing CP's output...

I put out a hair under 90,000 for those 7 days, and that was with SIMAP running as well...

I think I did ask..cant see it though, why couldnt I go in it ?

If you read the first post it says four sensors and it also gives the deadline that you missed. Sorry but rules is rules and I had to be fair to the ones that did get there name in on time.

PS - might have to look at setting up an email system to let everyone know of things like that, or put them all in a special topic and those interested make sure they subscribe to it..that way we'll get notified anytime ANYTHING gets posted ..

I thought I didn't have a chance with one PC out & the other one playing up.  As you may have guessed my crazy overclocking plan to make up for my downed 2nd PC didn't quite go to plan.

But even after up to 6 crash's a day I still got up. (just)   I'll now take the poor girl apart and see if I can't fix her once & for all.  She started my crunching career & I owe her some TLC.

My Asus gtx 680 is already crunching GPU grid for 12 days 2.2m points, in my old Q6600. Today I have ordered new CPU I7 3930K, Motherboard P9X79 Deluxe, Memory G.Skill  DDR3-2133 16GB Quad Channel   and SSD SSD 256GB 830 Series. ETA 19 Nov.
The Card is great for gaming. The Witcher 2 on full details works perfectly, that's the only one i tried so far.

There's some quality parts there d_worms.   Very nice indeed.     And good crunching at GPU-grid also.

And may I suggest POEM after you've had your fill with GPU grid.  I have GTX 670 (Palit GeForce GTX 670 Jetstream) that is crunching POEM like there's no tomorrow, so your's should do at least the same or by rights even better.    You may need an app_info.xml file to maximise your crunching but that's shouldn't be to much problem if your willing to fiddle a bit.   Try it first though you may not even need one at all.  Just ask for help if you need it & one of the guys or me should be able to hook you up.  Or if you would like POEM forum's are full of example's & info to look at. 

POEM is just one suggestion of course, give the ones you like a crack & tell us how the 680 went.  I've been interested to see what could do.

If you can,  hang on to the Q6600, it can help push your total during AA's & the like.

Good luck with your new toys DW.  I have a very similar system to you so I know your in for a treat.

IRC those settings update only when a new task starts. Try aborting the current task to force a new task.

PSS What did you think of the Witcher 2 game?

It's polish game I'm polish so I'm loving it  biggrin W2 is a bit harder than W1. I recommend books there is 7 in total
