The planet closest to the Sun would seem an unlikely place to find ice. Nevertheless, NASA's MESSENGER spacecraft has found evidence for abundant deposits of frozen water on Mercury.

Wish I could find some ice around here at the moment  ;D

I can remember (sort of) back in the nineteen fifties scientists saying there couldn't be life anywhere else in the universe because there was no water.  Hey guys!!!!

Mercury is the last planet I would have expected water-ice.  :shock
