Hi all, I must apologise for my extended absence...I have had a pretty hectic few months here....my youngest son who moved back to his Mums about 2 years ago, because I was getting strict with him, has returned....

He is back more so at a request from his mother to "come and get him..."

Have also had to ease back a bit on the level of crunching as power bills of $1500 just cant be justified, even with getting $600-$700 off from the solar panels..

So, hope to be back and actve again...just sliding backwards slowly on the world rankings... :cry2:

Good to see you back Veebee.   My bill that just came in was $1540 (after provider discount) so I feel your pain.

$1800 before discount.  :faint:

@ Jugnut,

we are in the middle of moving over to Dodo for our electricity...they have a 15% discount (maybe the same sort of thing you are getting ...???) and we pay monthly which is a bit easier than "remembering" to put away money to HAVE there every quarter.

Luckily we have the solar panels generating around $700 a quarter in Summer and $600 in winter..makes a big difference, and even luckier was that the rebate for solar generation stayed at 60 cents per kWh...if it had gone down to whatever the ridiculous amount they give to new customers now, we wouldnt have moved...
