Can you spot the penguin?

I am amazed, I think my mind works a bit differently to everyone else hear, that one I found easy, but then when you all have mentioned other ones as easy, I find very hard.

Could be the way my prescription is for my glasses, as I am shortsighted and do have gradual bifocal lenses lol.

Cheers All

I find the whole thing amazing. On the ones I find difficult, I search and search and then when I spot it I wonder how I could have missed it. It just jumps out at me. The brain is an interesting bit of machinery.  :wink

BTW, I sent Flora Graham, the editor of the briefing at Nature, an email last week suggesting Leif be reduced 50% to make it more difficult to find.  I got a very nice non-automated reply which said, among other things, that she would forward the suggestion to Tom Houghton their "penguin wrangler" who puts together the weekly picture. I was surprised, in this day and age, to get an actual response.

Thanks for the enterntainment Dataman. My family and I enjoyed finding that penguin in all the pictures. +1

My son and I enjoy doing these. So far there's really only been 1 or 2 that I found quite challenging to locate.
Mind you... I've had PLENTY of practice with my son & his "Where's Wally" books

Today Leif is in Russia and is easier to find than a black cat in a snow drift. (Not sure why he is a day early ... maybe April Fools Day?)

EDIT: The Nature Journal is on Easter Holiday until Tue. so that is why Leif is early.

I think he was well camouflaged Dataman  :compbash: . You'd reckon I be a certainty at this. All those years of sanity checking output produced by my own code and others I tested. Required high levels of pattern matching.  :faint:  Oh well.

This week Leif does a good job of hiding in Morocco.

I think Leif was inside one of the shops when I looked.   :banghead

Leif is in Japan. This one is so easy it is hardly worth posting. They need to step up their game.
