Can anyone recommend an easy-to-use smartphone and smartwatch combination for my elderly father?  I'm thinking an Apple iPhone (not sure on model) and an Apple watch. Will also consider (read that as prefer, but his mate has an Apple so...) an Android/watch combination. No wifi where he is but good coverage of 4G (all networks). Thanks!

Ooh its a good question and not one I think I have the answer to.

My father in law has the Iphone SE and have larger text which works well for him. He has a fitbit as well but I don't think it's linked to his phone. He's turning 70 this year.
Actually he might have the fitbit tied to his phone because I think it tracks his sleep patterns (he's a bit of an insomniac) He has no issues witht he iphone and the SE is a good size. (not too big)

My mother in law however uses a Samsung phone. I've no idea why they went with different phones. My wife can't work it out either as my MiL has trouble with her Samsung. It's some weird model too, not one of the well known ones. It's also a pain because it uses USB-C for charging instead of the lighting.... so my in laws have different connectors for their phones.  Bashhead

I'm personally an iphone person although I rather detest itunes. I never use it. I don't use my phone for music unless it's Spotify.

Let me know if you want more info Jave and I'll ask my father in law.
