WCG is back up and running and the web site is back.  They are issuing work as well.


EDIT:  It must be still overloaded as my work is not uploading or returning.

I have become very disillusioned with WCG since the move from the old host, finished work units sat on my system for 2 weeks. I have had a look on their forum and was surprised that Kembil (spelling) Research are not providing very much support to the Boinc side of things, money or personnel. Bottom line I have deleted all awaiting work units and the project off my systems the time being.

Well the Website is back up and running, but the BOINC part is down and will most likely be for the foreseeable future.

Pop over to the forums to get the full run down, but it all comes down to funding and the lack of support by UHN / Krembil.

Unfortunately I don't feel WCG will be running any time soon. The migration was announced Sept 21 and it still has teething issues now. I have hope for WCG but my expectations are low

Gee, I saw the stats come back yesterday and thought YAY... might do some WCG.
Nope... Hardly received a thing.
Thought I might do some Rosetta.... nope... no work.
LHC sixtrack..... nope.... no work.

I'm actually quite happy to save money on the power bill before the next PG challenge thingo.

Hopefully they get WCG sorted soon!

Ahh!!! I just found out why!    Had the preferences set to no CPU lol.

Seems I've picked up a few Rosetta so I'll finish those up and move onto WCG.

WCG is back up and running.

Sort of.  I got a bunch of GPU units which all ran for about 8 seconds and come back invalid since there's no data sent in the unit to work on.
I'm still "under moderation" on their forum after being critical of the new site design back before they moved from IBM.  It still looks like someone's 8 yr old kid drew it with blue crayons coz they ate the rest.

Yep, all the other projects, have very interesting websites, but even better badges.

But it's like they did, so they would not offend anyone, cause its very boring, very bland and everything blends in, so yeah, its like you said Dark Angel.

It's such a shame though.

I agree, it seems as they did not take into account the major bandwidth required for the projects. I have not been able to get work from my WCG projects for some time now, but will leave the portal open.
