If anyone was thinking of using an app_config to run WCG tasks multithreaded, do not waist your time. 

I gave a few of their applications a test and some just abort with an error and other do not record the Run time and CPU time differences and therfor do not give the credit for using multiple cores.

I had WCG open for Beta and had my Linux machines accepting any Beta that came my way.  I must have missed out on the first lot of tasks.  Opened the Windows machines today in case there are no Linux apps for the Beta ?

I received one this morning. It is still in process but looks like ~16 hours on a threadripper. Crunchers are reporting some checkpoint problems. So far so good.

EDIT: Checkpoints are only once every 6 hours.

The download/upload files are huge and may tax your bandwidth. Also the default # of WU's/machine is 1. If you want more you must increase it in your WCG device manager.

Heck yea!!  That's good news DM the timing is great.  I've meaning to do some more WCGrid and with the world in such dire need of new antiviral drugs what could be better than crunching to help cure COVID19?

Exactly what i have been waiting for. I only run BOINC. Hopefully it doesn't take to much longer for the project to get going.

Even though I've been doing some Folding@home recently, I'd also rather stick with BOINC.
