Likewise. Close to the finish line now. Although, it is looking like we won't gain or lose a spot for Rosetta. Not unless someone's been holding off all this time. If that is the case, then there's a possibility to switch over early.
I can't see SETIKAH@KOREA overtaking us.

Thanks Dataman!

Gee, an ARP work unit is going to take 27hrs to complete on my 3770S.  :faint:

Another has been going to 12hrs with 15hrs to go..... :faint:

Talk about looooong. I think that's worse than Cosmology. And all for

Actually....... I've done an about face and changed tactic.
I think everyone jumping onto the COVID work has freed up some ARP work units. I got HEAPS! So I've decided to use that opportunity to get ARP. I'm almost entirely crunching ARP now and dumped my COVID work .
:crazy

I'll come back to the COVID badge  O0

Has anyone had ARP w/u's get stuck?
I've got 2 which have been running for nearly 2 days and they are both stuck at 99%. Anyone heard about this or come across it themsleves?
I'm unsure if they will complete or not.

Edit - Scratch that...as soon as I finished typing one completed! Gee these things take forever to run!  :faint:

Further discussions in the following forum link https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,42843

Predictions are that this batch might not last that long, maybe through to Christmas, others are thinking March, but all depends on how much is returned each day.

If we go over 100k results returned a day by every contributor, then yeah Christmas.

So if you are thinking of a 5 year or 10 year badge, might be wise to go onto these before they disappear.

Cheers

Greetings All

Important Announcement about the future of the Microbiome Immunity Project

Please see the following thread for the ending of this project, end of June 2020

So if there are any goals you want to accomplish with this project, say a next level up badge, might be wise to have a look.

Cheers

Thanks, Tazzduke. I'm hoping to get the 180-day badge before they turn it off.

WCG transition update:

https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/about_us/article.s?articleId=757

* World Community Grid pauses sending out work units: February 14, 2022.
* World Community Grid pauses receiving work units: February 27, 2022.
* Website and forum will be offline: from February 28 until April 22, 2022. A simplified version of the website will act as a sign post during the transition, to share updates and communicate our progress and roadmap for the World Community Grid in 2022.

Two months of down-time seems like a lot!

IBM is involved, so that will add time.
