They'll need to speak to Gina Rinehart about that. I wonder if Julia can bring herself to be civil in a face-to-face?!

I did notice the Aussie Government has a request for a loan to consolidate our national debt.
We here in the US were hoping you blokes would co-sign our National Debt.  :jester:

I mucked around with making some graphs at http://www.kiva.org/team/boinc_at_australia/graphs and came up with this one...

I wonder why Peru is so prominent in loans for Boinc Australia?  Not having a go at anyone - just curious. :-)

The hats, always the hats they wear.   Strange but true.

So their hats draw people in??  Hmmm... interesting. LOL

Although I'm keen on those hats too, it's not only the hats that influence my choice of a loan from Peru. I often choose at least one loan per month with a shorter repayment term. These have often been from Peru, in particular from AsociaciĆ³n Arariwa field partner. I also use Autopick for others and these are often for longer terms. So it kind of balances out the terms of the loans I make.

They also have short loans (6-8 months) and an excellent payyback history. You can't go wrong with a South American woman with a funny hat.  biggrin

Dingo

I had enough to make another loan today in Kiva  :dance2:

Great concept. Must have been lost in space for a while, never heard of it before. Thanks, I'll follow it up. ;D

Something I came across a few months ago which doesn't seem to have gone viral, though you lot may very well have seen it. I not, please enjoy: http://htwins.net/scale2/index.html
If its old-hat then... oh well. Thanks anyway.

Good one WTD, never seen that one before.    +1 karma for an informative post.

You may find this section of the board of interest also if you haven't seen it already?  http://forum.boinc-australia.net/index.php?board=135.0

Thanks much for reminding us Wally. I totally forgot. +1
I was a bit distracted. During my 2nd eye surgery my blood pressure blew up the machine.  :jester: Do you think 223 over 109 is a bit high with a pluse of 110?  :boom: They even brough in the crash cart ... but it was not needed as they pumped in some "stuff" that brought it down. No worries though, the surgery went fine and I now have 20/20 vision in both eyes and only need reading glasses. My Dr. doubled my BP med's and yesterday I got the "pleasure" of having blood work done. Hell they took enough blood that it would have lowered my BP by itself..  Just sorry that it scared Karen so much.
I'll go out to KIVA and look for some funny hat women.
:bloodshot

Gotta love those hats!! :-)  Good to hear you're okay after your operation as well.  I also have some spare moola in my Kiva account so I'll be making another loan soon as well. Just want to reach $50 so that I can make two loans.

Speaking of which, does anyone donate extra to help Kiva? (ie $1.25 or more) or do you just leave it at zero?
